A Two-Way Conversation

Today we read Job 39-40 and 1 Corinthians 13-14.

Job 40.3-5 - 3 Then Job answered the Lord and said:

4 “Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer you?
    I lay my hand on my mouth.
5 I have spoken once, and I will not answer;
    twice, but I will proceed no further.”

Sometimes it is best to keep our mouths quiet and listen to the Lord.  It is so easy for us to ask and ask and ask or to tell and tell and tell.  We need, instead, to be still and know that He is God and listen. 

Our time will be better spent if we pause to listen in the midst of our asking and telling.  Have  conversation with God today....and make sure you take time to listen.
