A little milestone today: my 300th blog. I enjoy it and thanks for reading.
Delayed obedience is usually disobedience. It is with my kids. 'Clean your room' does not mean next week. 'Come here, please' does not mean when your television program is over. When you put off obedience, you are disobedient. Notice James and John in Matthew 4:19, 22- And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."....Immediately they left their boats and their father and followed him. (www.lifejournal.cc) They went as they were asked. That is obedience. When God confronts you about a sin, don't ponder on your response....that is disobedience. When God tells you to 'Get Up and Go', that is not a consideration to throw in the hat of your many choices. It is an imperative...respond. How much do we miss by putting off God's very best for us?
Let's decide today to refuse anything but God's very best for our lives and say 'Yes' immediately as He gives us opportunity.
