Insufficient and Knowing It

We all have our weaknesses. We don't like to wear them on our sleeves (thankfully) but we all have them. Some are physical, some mental, some spiritual, some emotional, and some social. Most of us are plagued by more than one. What do you do about it? You pray for better and do the best you can with who you are and what you've got. We've all made mistakes. Some are haunted by tHem. Just remember, what has been confessed to God is forgiven. What is forgiven is gone. THe problem is not God forgiving us but we accepting his forgiveness and forgiving ourselves. Some are limited physically. Physical limitations are frustrating. Many believe that Paul's thorn in the flesh was physical. He had an eye condition. He referred to it several times in his letters. I wonder if it began when he saw the blinding light on the road to Damascus. Others believe his thorn was a person. We don't really know. We know he prayed for God to remove it and God chose not to. How did he respond-
2 corinthians 12:9- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
God told him, "you are going to have to lean on me." That is what we have to do. We are not perfect. Everything about our makeup, our situation, our past, our present, and, yes, our future, is not exactly like we thought it would be or that we want it to be. We may not be able to do it alone. We don't have to...thank God. So let's not try. He is sufficient and His power is what we need, so let's lean on that today, live off that today, and love like He does today.
