That Sick Realization

Today we read Job 25 and Mark 13 & 14.

Have you ever really messed up and then, almost as soon as you did, you remembered what your mother said...what the teacher had said...what the Lord had said about the matter?  That overwhelming sense of guilt and stupidity roll over you.  That is what Peter felt after he bluntly denied his association with Christ three times on the night that Jesus was arrested.  Notice how quickly he saw the light in Mark 14.72- And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

May we stay so faithfully close to Christ that we heed His Warnings every morning from His Word before we go about our day denying His Lordship in our lives.  When we do mess up, may we break down and wept and repent and change when we realize that we have sinned.

Go...and sin no more...today!  Hope to see you worship!
