Today we read Psalm 125 and Matthew 26-27.
Matthew 26.6-7- Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he reclined at table.
When given the opportunity, the lady took the best she had and gave it to Jesus to anoint Him and to honor him.
When given his opportunity, Judas looked for the opportunity to betray Christ.
Matthew 26.16 states it simply- And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.
One took the opportunity to give to Jesus. The other took the opportunity to profit at the Lord's expense.
What kind of opportunity to seek for, hope for, and look for today. Let's honor Him with our thanks and our selfless service for Him and for others.
