By The Cross At Christmas

We read John 19-21 today.

John 19.25-...Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

This time of year we often think of Mary by the manger.  Mary, also, stood by the cross.   This time of year we often think of Jesus in the manger.  I believe we ought to see Him on the cross as well, because the joy of Christmas comes in the victory of the cross.

We will celebrate as a church both of these:  the coming of Christ incarnate and the sacrifice of Christ eternal at 5 PM in a short Lord's Supper worship at FBC.   If you are in town, take a few moments to look past the manger and look to the cross with us.
