Wholehearted Service

Today, as we continue to Prepare 90 Days for Easter (P90E), we read Matthew 18 and 2 Chronicles 25.

2 Chronicles 25.1-2- Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
2 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, yet not with a whole heart.

It was not that he did not do some things right, but his motives were mixed, therefore his life was hampered by a lack of dedication to the Lord.  He went after idols that he did not need to entertain. He lost battles that he did not have to lose.  He struggled and lost because his heart was not 100% sold on doing the Lord's Will, following a life plan that pleased the Lord.

How many 'idols' have you served along the way that got you off course? How many battles have you lost because you did not follow God's plan or strategy in a decisive time in your life?

Let's serve the Lord with all of our heart today and let nothing get in the way.
