Today we read 1 Kings 13-14, 2 Chronicles 12, and Philippians 3.
In our Kings and Chronicles reading today we read about deceit, struggles, and worries. Those people had problems....so do we. In Philippians 3.12 Paul tells us to keep it all in perspective:
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
Jeroboam wasn't there yet. Rehoboam wasn't there yet. Paul wasn't there yet. We aren't there yet. However, we press to be more for Christ, have the mind of Christ, and to faithfully serve Christ daily. That is a task that is worth our efforts today. Don't slack up today! Press On!
