The Standard

Today we read 2 Kings 13-14, 2 Chronicles 25, and 2 Timothy 3.

In a day when the morals of yesteryear and, more importantly, the standards of Scripture are being abandoned, not only by citizens, but also by lawmakers and courts, let me give you a sweet reminder.  The Word of God still stands.  God knew what He was doing when He breathed the Word into the hearts and the minds of the Biblical writers.  He knew what this day would bring to America.  Hey, He knew what the Roman Empire was bringing in the day in which it was written.  The challenges of today may be new to us, but they are not new. Sin came to the first man and has been breaking out every sense.  The kind of sin that is being glorified today was glorified in the Roman Empire two thousand years ago.  When you wonder where to stand on the issues that face us today, please be reminded of
2 Timothy 3.16-17 -All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Trust the Word.  God will not let you down.
