A Legacy of His Faithfulness

Today we read Nehemiah 9-10 and Acts 2.

When you read Nehemiah 9, you will see that they are celebrating their great accomplishments in The Lord.  They are celebrating it by celebrating Him.  They take time to reflect on the legacy of the faithfulness of the Lord.  We will be a lot more appreciative to the Lord if we took time to reflect on these matters as well.  Remember Joshua laid the stones in the bed of the Jordan in celebration of what God had told for them.  They laid down Ebenezers or stones of remembrance, which were markers for future generations to ask about and to learn about the Lord who has been so faithful.  Take time today to reflect on the legacy of the faithfulness of the Lord in your life today.

I particularly relate to Nehemiah 9.25aAnd they captured fortified cities and a rich land, and took possession of houses full of all good things, cisterns already hewn, vineyards, olive orchards and fruit trees in abundance.

Over the last 20 years I have moved four times and served with three different congregations. Everywhere I have served, it has been obvious that God has went before me and dug the wells to provide all I need each and every time.  His care and guidance is a blessing.

May our lives be marked with faithfulness as well.
