Covering the Breach

Well, I went to Jackson last Tuesday to fly to Kansas City.  Flew out of Jackson because I had a meeting there before the flight but the meeting was put off a week due to Hurricane Isaac.
I flew to Kansas City and got back to Jackson Thursday and drove home.  On Friday, after speaking to the team, Millie and I drove (well, I did the driving) to Jackson to see Abby in her pageant.  After escorting her Saturday night, we (I) drove home.  After church Sunday morning Millie and I went back to Jackson to see the rest of the pageant.  We came home yesterday.  The meeting that was scheduled for last Tuesday is today....guess where I am going...As Johnny and June Carter Cash said it: I'm going to Jackson....But before I do, let me give you a thought:

In Ezekiel this morning I was touched by how much God just wants pure living. It burdened the heart of God to watch the Israelites waste opportunities to walk righteously before God and instead get caught up in idolatry and worldly sins. He searched far and wide for the righteous. Ezekiel 22:30 speaks of the attempt: And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. We still need breachmakers and gapstanders. Oh, that God can look at our lives and see those taking a stand for the things of God and whatever the cost. Live for Him today!
