Today we read Ezra 2 & 3 and Luke 8.
We are to scatter seed by telling people about Jesus, speaking often of the truths of God's Word and living out the love of God's Word before others. We are also to be receptive of God's Word like fertile soil that absorbs a seed and then becomes fruitful. As Jesus tells the story of the sower and the seed in Luke 8, have you considered how you 'take in' His Word?
Luke 8.14-15- And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, butas they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.15 As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
There is a lot in this world to throw us off from being everything that God would have us to be. Don't you dare get thrown off! Live for Jesus today and be fruitful!
