Never Alone

Today I begin again to write from my personal devotional time following the Life Journal Bible reading that I found in the book The Divine Mentor and that I have used since 2008. Today we read Judges 11,12, Psalm 50, and 2 Corinthians 1.   Of those passages God pointed out the following verses:
2 Corinthians 1.3-4-Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

It is a great comfort for me to know that I will not go through the distressing times that I may face in this life alone.  God will be with me.  He will give me comfort beyond measure.  He will give me peace that passes understanding.  He will not leave me alone.  He will come to me.    He is so faithful at it that He expects us to not only be comforted, but also to comfort others from the experience that we have walked through with the Lord.  Therefore, the opportunity is twofold.  First, you will never be alone.  He will comfort you.  Second, He will empower you to comfort others.

What was it that you said you were scared of?  What were you thinking? He is with you.  Experience it, grow from it, and share it.
