A Long Look

Today as we continue Preparing 90 Days for Easter (P90E) we read John 4 and James 1.22-27.
Notice James 1.23 -For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.
One of the great differences between men and women (in most cases) is the time they spend in front of the mirror.   Women prepare themselves and go to great lengths to look their best.  Men won't take near as long and spend much less time pondering on how they look.  Women's results are lasting, because of the time spent.
When it comes to spending time in. the Word, we need to prepare ourselves by reflecting upon our lives as we read the Word.  We need to ponder on how it applies and the difference it must make in our lives.
Take a long look and let it sink in, like a woman in front of a mirror.  The results will be much more lasting.
