Speaking Through Us

Today, as we continue to Prepare 90 Days for Easter (P90E), we read Matthew 10 and Acts 16.1-3, 17.13-16, 18.5, and 19.22 and look at Paul and Timothy's relationship and their  ministry was affected.

I am struck this morning by the need to read and absorb Matthew 10.20- For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Jesus was speaking to his disciples about spreading his message.  He encouraged them to be bold...and sensitive.
It seems today that Christians tend to be polar opposites. It seems that one is quiet and inhibited about his/her faith and the other seems to be loud and mad at the world about it.  It is not time to be silent.  We need to speak boldly.  It is not time to be mad and building up walls to keep people out of the faith, instead of meeting them where they are, and tearing down the dividing walls.  We ought to never compromise our convictions, but we ought to always temper our convictions to be expressed in a way that does allow us to be a hindrance from one coming to Christ.

Let's walk through the doors God opens, express ourselves with the love of Jesus, and watch the Spirit take over the conversation.
