Family Resemblance

Today, as we continue to Prepare 90 Days for Easter (P90E), we read Luke 8 and various passages concerning Paul's mentoring relationship with Timothy: I Cor. 4.17, 16.10, II Cor. 1.1,19, Phil. 1.1, and 2.19-22.

The Holy Spirit has a wonderful way of taking a familiar passage,  that you have read many times, and striking a new or resounding chord in your life that sticks.  That is the wonder of reading the Word every day and asking God to give you a verse to live by for THAT day.  Like corn flakes, read this again for the first time. It's in Luke 8.21- But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it."

If you are in the family of God, it will show in how much you listen (and read) the Word AND how your life is changed and impacted by the your time in the Word.  You know, family members resemble each other.  If you see my Dad, you know the apple did not fall far from the tree.  Well, let it be so said, about our resemblance to our Father in heaven.

Let's look like one of His...today!   Be like Jesus!
