Don't Underestimate!

Christ has made a difference in our lives.  Now, we must make a difference in our world.   The two examples that stood out to me today (www.lifejournal.cc) speaks of marriage and the difference that we can make with our mates.  I Peter 3:1 -  Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, 2when they see your respectful and pure conduct.   Never underestimate your influence, even when you say nothing.
And....v.7- Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.  Not only do compassionate ways help your relationship, but the strength of the relationship helps your prayer life.   Christ at the center of our lives puts Christ at the center of our relationships and that makes a difference.
What stands out to me, however, is what is true in your Christlike interaction with your spouse, is very relevant in how you respond to the world around you.  We are to live like Noah- blameless and above reproach.  We are to live like Jesus- being understanding and honorable.  Let's treat others in a way that will point them to Christ-- in our interaction with them and even when we are just gracing their presence.
What a job that is for us today!  Do your best to honor God today by honoring others.
