Ready

Well, it is the last day of the year.  I remember when 2011 was futuristic talk.  Still feels that way at times.  Now, we'll be writing 2012 on our checks tomorrow. Boy, time flies.  Tomorrow I plan to preach on the subject of 2012.  Much has been made of that year.  Much is expected...or at least, wondered about.  Much will happen.  How do you prepare for 2012 on the last day of 2011?  You keep it all in perspective.  Rev. 22:20 grasps it well- He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. I don't know when and I don't know HOW soon but I know He is coming and I know He says it is soon.
Of course, Scripture also tells us that a 1000 years is like a day to the Lord.  Based upon that, we'll let Him determine how soon.  However, I also echo what John added. -  Amen!  Come, Lord Jesus!  I'm ready!  Are you?  Do you know if there has been a time in your life when you have confessed your sin to the Lord and acknowledged your need for Him? 
Has there been a time when you have truly surrendered your life to Him and His Will and committed to follow Him? 
If so, there has been a spiritual transfusion that has taken place.  The Holy Spirit is now in you and empowers you to succeed spiritually in all your life...if you will lean on Him, follow His direction, let Him guide your path.  Not only that, you are promised a heavenly home with the Lord.  It is not make believe.  It is talked about again and again in Scripture.
If you haven't surrendered your life to the Lord, just do it!   It will the greatest decision that you make in your life and it will forever change you.  What better way to start a new year than to give your heart and life to Christ and be a born again believer.  It is my prayer for you!
