Life's Funnel

I hope you are reading along with us each day.   From the middle of November to the end of the year, this Bible reading plan will click through a lot of the New Testament, but I encourage you to hold on to your seat and let God bless you along the way.  We are reading Romans now (www.lifejournal.cc) and it is not your easiest book.  Paul was a brilliant man and Romans reads like a Christian philosophy class.  Don't get discouraged if you get lost along the way.  Keep reading.  What he is driving at is the struggle that we have with sin and the victory that we have in Christ.  You have to keep  it on in perspective.  You need to understand the struggle for it is very real.  You need to understand the victory in Christ...for it is very real.  This morning I want to focus on the help that we have along the journey.  Romans 8:26- Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[g] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
We get help along the journey.  The Spirit of God is interceding for us.  We don't have to eloquent in prayer, we just have to approach the throne of God faithfully.  The effectiveness of our prayers is not in our eloquence, but in our faithfulness to go to the throne and allow the Spirit to speak in and through us.  When we pray, we ought to leave it with God.  We can rest assured because He is working in our lives for the good.  Life is not as chaotic as it seems, when you are walking with the Lord.  Why?  He is in control.   He is working in you. He has prepared the way. He has cleansed the Christian and made what was wrong right.  Now like the sands in an hourglass, we are funneling our way to the day when we see Him face to face and are glorified.  We can rest in that.  God is at work in our today.  He is at work in our tomorrow.  He was at work in our yesterday.  What are we worried about?  Let's just seek His Face, live to please Him, and look forward to what is ahead!
