Finding the Word

Today we read 2 Kings 22, 2 Chronicles 34, and John 6.

When Josiah was king, he brought reform and got people back to God's Word.  He had them cleaning up the house of God and an amazing discovery came about.  2 Chronicles 34. 14 tells us about it: While they were bringing out the money that had been brought into the house of the LordHilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the Lord given through Moses.
They found God's Word in the clean out of the church!  What is so amazing about that?  The amazing thing is that the Word was lost but they kept having church.   God's Word has to be at the center of all we do.  It is not something to be neglected.  It is not something to be ignored.  It is not something that is to be just referred to.  It is not something used just ceremonially. God's Word is to be a center of all we do in the church.

Let's dig a little deeper.  God's Word is to be at the center of our lives.  It is not to be neglected, ignored, simply referred to, or nostalgically appreciated.   It is to be a crucial part of our lives daily.

Let's dig into God's Word today in church.  I am and I hope to see you there.
