Wake Up!

Today we read Ezekiel 4-7 and Revelation 3.

In the letter to Sardis that is found at the first of Revelation 3, I believe there is a message for all of us.  Revelation 3.1b-2- I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive,but you are dead. ² Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. 

Regardless of your reputation, God knows your heart.  You may have a wonderful reputation and everyone believes you are a grand Christian.  Please do not forget, however, that God knows the heart.  You may have a reputation of one that has started for The Lord but has had a tough time making headway.  Please do not forget, however, that God sees your heart. 

The good news is that he is not done with any of us as long as He gives us breath. Regardless of what others think,  God knows our hearts and wants to work in each and every one of them. We simply need to wake up to the reality that we are not dead, God is not dead, and God is at work in us until we see Him face to face.

In other words, wake up!  We've got work to do.
