Lay It Down

Today we read Jeremiah 28-30 and 1 John 3.

Jesus gave His life for us.  How should we respond?  Well, we should first give our lives to Him.  He provides us the opportunity of eternal salvation with our self-surrender.   He gives us much more than we ever could.  It is an offer we need to take quickly and wholeheartedly.

We also respond by giving our lives for others.  1 John 3.16-By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.  Laying down our lives for others is not so much dying for them, but living for them. 

As Christ thought (and thinks) of us, we ought to think of others.  Let's share the love that He has invested in us with others.
