Along the Path

We all struggle in some form or fashion with living the consistent Christian life (that is those of us who strive hard at it).   Some folks don't want you to know they struggle and they try to bluff everyone around them.  Some folks struggle and don't celebrate or announce their struggle, but live day to day striving to please the Lord.  Some folks want everyone to know all their struggles.  (TMI-too much information.  Let's talk about it. Don't ask the whole world to advise you through social media.) And then some folks get weary in the struggle, stop struggling and give in.  That is not good.  However, it is also not good how we often act toward folks that have such struggles in the Christian life. James advises us on this-
James 5.19-20-My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, ²⁰ let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (www.lifejournal.cc)
In other words, don't give up on them.  It is not only the job of fellow Christians to love on good and faithful Christians, but we must also step away from the 'pack' and run alongside one that is limping.
