Riding the Victory Bus!

I played a little football in high school and there is a distinct difference between a win and a loss on the bus ride home.  When you play an 'away' game and win, the bus is rocking.  There are no rules.  The coaches enter in to the chant.  The windows are down and the hooping and the hollering is at the max.  However....when you get waylaid on the field, dragged up and down, and leave bloody and bruised, you then get chewed out by your coach as you kneel around him in front of those you love and those that won.  But no, it is not over.  You then get on the bus to a 'more clear' tail chewing that is not edited by the restraints of loving parents listening, and are required to be silent on the bus ride home.  Do you know how miserable that is when you are two to a seat, shoulder pads in your lap, riding on a Blue Bird bus in the dark for an hour?  It stinks.  You want to ride with your Momma and let her get you a McDonald's milk shake, but, instead, you have to endure the agony of defeat.  The whole time you are riding home, you are thinking, "We've got to win next time and ride that victory bus."

Well, Christian, we will ride in victory, and the anticipation of that victory ought to keep us focused today on doing what we need to do to honor and celebrate Him in all of our life.  Savor this passage:
Isaiah 35.10- And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing;
everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (www.lifejournal.cc)
Man, that sounds fun!  That sounds like a victory bus!  Live like you believe it!
