Today's Praise

Today we read Isaiah 11-14 and Hebrews 9.

As I read Isaiah today, I am reminded of a Christian singing group called Truth that sang anthems to the Lord for years.  This young, fresh faced, beautiful ensemble would come to town and they were heroic in the way they led you to the throne of God.  Roger Breland from Mobile, AL would direct and lead this group and they became a Christian classic for my generation.  I could not help but hear the song and see the smile that the beautiful voice came from so many years ago as I read this morning:
Isaiah 12.4-6. -“Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,   proclaim that his name is exalted.
“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
    let this be made known in all the earth.
Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
    for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

Whatever you are facing today, begin by giving thanks to the Lord.  Let his praises be known to all you come in contact with.

Lord, we lean on you today for the heaviness that we feel, the decisions that we face, and the direction that we go.  We give you praise for who you are and that is where we find our rest!
