Today we read 2 Samuel 17, Psalm 71, and Matthew 26.
The woman made a sacrifice for her Lord. She gave Him the best she had and served Him in a lavish way. People did not know what to think of it. Jesus replied in Matthew 26.13- Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
Do you know what? We are still talking about her today. May we not be reluctant to serve the Lord so lavishly that we make an impact on lives that far exceeds what we thought (or think) we have the capacity to do. Let's at least try it...for His Glory!
