Just Giving Opportunities

Today we read Proverbs 7-9 and Romans 9.

Romans 9.33- Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense;
    and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
I have often said that when you are presented the message of Christ, you have to do something with it.  You either build your life upon it or you stumble over it.  It is the job of the Christian to present the opportunity, which can also be called a belief crisis.  It is through such a crisis, that one makes a life-determining decision.  They may accept Christ as their Savior or they may reject Him.  Never underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit, the work that God has done before you shared with someone or the work that He will do after you share with someone.  It is not our job to understand everything about the depths of the ways of God.  It is our job to believe what we do understand, live our lives in response of what we understand, and share the message that we understand.  Lives will be changed when we do.

Remember:  It is not our job to 'get one saved'.  It is our job to give one the opportunity to come to Christ by offering to them the salvation plan which is free to all.  What they do with such an opportunity is not your responsibility.  Giving them such an opportunity is.

Let's do it today!
